| Home, Run (1997), from Leaving Everything Behind | | On hearing the first few bars of this track, you'd be forgiven for thinking The Bravery's guitarist had come out of hiding to release part two of Honest Mistake.
Several bars on, Jordan Spiers' Enter Shikari-esque vocals make their debut and in the interlude, his Glaswegian accent really kicks in and instantly gives the impression of a Biffy Clyro takeover.
But these observations are by no means criticisms - Flood of Red have captured some of the best attributes of the biggest bands of the year and bundled them all together to form one song.
Flood of Red have really come up trumps with this track and with material as good as this, they look set to join the Scottish elite with fellow rockers Biffy Clyro.
We can expect to see much more of this fresh new band in the near future, so if they're touring near you, you'd be a fool not to go and support them.
