Shake It is the latest offering from Berlin DJ Hardy Hard and his collaborators, Lady Waks and Afrika Bambaataa.
Upon
first listen, the track could be mistaken for the love child of Groove
Armada’s I See You Baby and Yves La Rock’s Rise Up, and at seven
minutes five seconds it’s a little long, but the bass line is pretty
catchy and you’ll soon find yourself nodding your head or tapping your
foot to the beat. Hardy Hard makes full use of vocoding effect on the
vocals, and it’s easy to imagine yourself dancing to Shake It in your
favourite club.
Though Hardy Hard is reasonably unheard of in
the UK, his new material would sit nicely in the UK club scene, and it
might not be long before he graces the stage at Creamfields.
