On first hearing this track, you might begin to wonder whether The Boo Radleys were making a comeback (the single bears a striking resemblance to Wake Up It’s A Beautiful Morning). However, if you give it a second chance, it does have a personality of it’s own.

Make It Mine is the second single from Jason Mraz’s third studio album, We Sing, We Dance, We Steal Things, and executes a blend of guitar and brass instruments with simple but effective lyricism. There’s even a gospel element to the song, making it that little bit more three-dimensional.

It’s possible this song would feature nicely on many a summer playlist, but with the weather in its current state, this single could fall foul of being a simple background track.

Make It Mine has been released as a digital single and will be available to buy as a physical single from September 1.
