Since Amy Winehouse broke into the mainstream, we’ve seen a lot of female artists enter the charts. Martina Topley Bird has been played a big part in the music industry since her collaborations with British trip-hopper Tricky back in 1995, but nowadays she has established herself as a solo artist and Baby Blue is her latest attempt at taking her true share of the spotlight.

Baby Blue is the latest single from current album The Blue God, and a collaboration with Gnarls Barkley mastermind Brian “Danger Mouse” Burton. Recorded in LA, Baby Blue showcases Martina’s vocal talent, and her ability to play her own instruments.

Fans of ex-All Saints member Melanie Blatt and recent star Corinne Bailey Rae will appreciate these soulful vocals, as well as those who are just looking for a relaxing melody with an R’n’B twist.
