22/10/09 John Q Public hang with their gnomies
CARDIFF punk-rockers John Q Public have uploaded a new music video for their track One by One.
JQP's
video features the band dressed up as gnomes, rocking out with various
gardening implements. If you're anything like us, you've probably
never realised the musical potential of a spade, a hose, a rake and
a couple of toadstools.
One by One originally appeared on their 2008 EP Land Ho!, which was released under their previous name - May Contain Nuts.
The band are re-releasing a deluxe edition of Land Ho! on 9 November under their new name, and this time round the EP features two new tracks.
Check out JQP's new video here.
Visit the band's MySpace for more information on the EP release.

22/09/09 Muse play prank on Italian TV
TEIGNMOUTH trio Muse well and truly stitched up an Italian TV presenter when they appeared on Quelli Che Il Calcio recently.
Allegedly,
the band were so outraged at being asked to mime on the show, that they
decided to play a practical joke on the unsuspecting TV team.
Frontman Matt Belamy swaps places with drummer Dom Howard before miming the entire song in the wrong positions.
What
follows is an blundering interview, where Howard continues to pull off
his front man role, whilst the presenter remains oblivious to the
stitch-up.
See the comical results here, courtesey of Yahoo! Music. |

| 16/09/09 Biffy Clyro say goodbye to Jo Whiley
RADIO
1's Jo Whiley is moving to a new weekend show and Fearne Cotton is due
to take her place, but the DJ couldn't leave before completing a Live
Lounge tour.
Following
a short interview and a tearful presentation of gifts by Scottish band
Biffy Clyro, Jo Whiley introduces Biffy Clyro's Live Lounge cover,
Ciara and Justin Timberlake's Love Sex Magic.
In what is
probably one of the strangest covers since the Arctic Monkeys covered
Girls Aloud's Love Machine, Biffy Clyro pull off a convincing and
likeable cover of this RnB hit.

| 05/09/09 Paramore cover Use Somebody
PARAMORE entered BBC Radio 1's Live Lounge yesterday to perform their single Ignorance.
In
true Live Lounge tradition, the group had to chose and perform a cover
- Paramore's choice being the Kings of Leon track, Use Somebody.
This video shows the results of their efforts.
